Jenny Gilruth MSP SEPTEMBER SURGERY TOUR

Published date : 25 Sep 2018

Mid Fife & Glenrothes MSP, Jenny Gilruth, was delighted to take her regular open surgeries on the road yesterday (24th September), travelling across her constituency to meet with constituents.

Ms Gilruth paid a visit to the Balmaise Centre in Leven, The Rothes Halls in Glenrothes, The Village Hall in Star, St Ninian’s Café in Glenwood, The Victoria Hall in Coaltown and The Jubilee Community Centre in Stenton, during her ‘super surgery tour’.

The MSP met with a number of local residents who raised a host of issues, from local policing and speeding vehicles to housing issues and concerns over PIP payments.

Since her election in 2016, the MSP has committed to being accessible to all her constituents, most recently holding two summer surgery tours in July.

Commenting Jenny Gilruth MSP said:

“It’s a real priviledge to represent the Mid Fife & Glenrothes constituency in Holyrood – but no politician should ever take voters for granted and I believe it is my duty to be accessible to all constituents. That’s why getting out and about ‘on tour’ is always such a rewarding experience, because I get to speak to folk who might otherwise not be able to get to my surgeries.

I really hope my regular surgery tours encourage more people to get in touch to discuss their issues with me. Being an MSP is all about making a difference and helping people – that’s why I do my job. I’d encourage anyone in need of support to get in touch with my local office in Markinch.’
