“It was great to visit the Auchmuty Holiday Club today and see the positive impact Big Lottery funding is having in the local area.
“The club is a real boost for families in the area, keeping kids active, busy and healthy over the summer break with a host of fun activities.
“The volunteers and youth workers at the club have been incredible to get the project up and running for the second year in a row – I wish the club every continued success and I’d like to pay tribute to the staff and volunteers who have made this project possible for the second year in a row – it is a lifeline to many families locally.’
Shirley Crawley, a Community Education Worker at Fife Council, added:
“The kid’s, young volunteers, youth helpers and adult volunteers and staff, were really excited Jenny took the time to visit the project.
“The Auchmuty Kid’s Activity Club was funded through the Big Lottery Fund Scotland Our Place Auchmuty initiative. Although the project was due to finish after the Easter 2019 holidays. Thanks to the National Lottery we got the go ahead to extend the project this summer.
“Our local community activists hope to continue this project and are in the process of seeking funding.”
