MOTION TO CONGRATULATE THE EAST FIFE GIRLS AND WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CLUB

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-06936: “East Fife Girls and Women’s Football Club”) asking the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the East Fife Girls and Women’s Football Club on securing £1,676 of funding from sportscotland through Awards for All Scotland.
The motion text reads:
“That the Parliament congratulates East Fife Girls and Women’s Football Club on securing £1,676 of funding from sportscotland through the Awards for All Scotland programme; understands that the funding will go towards the hire of winter training facilities and to attend various training courses; acknowledges that East Fife Girls and Women’s Football Club is a newly-registered charity, incorporated in 2015 and registered with the SFA, which offers football opportunities to girls and women from Levenmouth, Methil, Buckhaven, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy; welcomes this funding from sportscotland and the Awards for All Scotland programme, and wishes the football club every success in its future ambitions.”
