“The bowling club at Dovecot Park is an important part of the local community. I admire the huge volunteer effort that keeps the green and the clubhouse in great condition for members to enjoy.”
Many of the children were new to the sport, and Jenny welcomed the enthusiasm those present had for their new hobby:
“The children there today seemed to be having a great time, and I hope some of them are Scotland’s bowling stars of the future.
I also hope more local children take up the opportunity to try out a new sport this summer. Getting people active and taking part in their local community is something that I see as very important. There was a great atmosphere at today’s fun day, run by the bowling club at Dovecot Park, and I’d encourage any youngster looking to try something new to come along and give it a shot.”
