MOTION TO COMMEND FIFE’S LOCAL HERO AWARDS 2017 WINNERS

Jenny Gilruth MSP has lodged a motion (S5M-07359: “Fife’s Local Hero Awards 2017”) asking the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the winners and runner-ups from the Mid Fife & Glenrothes constituency at the Fife Local Hero Awards 2017.

The motion text reads:

“That the Parliament congratulates all the winners and runners-up at Kingdom FM’s annual Local Hero Awards; acknowledges in particular the winners from the Mid Fife and Glenrothes constituency, which included Thornton Primary School on receiving the Best School Award, Disability Sport Fife, which won the Provost Award, Love Oliver on winning the Fundraiser of the Year Award, Celtic Moves, which won the Home Grown Talent Award, Ron and Norma Nicol of Glenrothes Theatre Company on winning the Mary Leishman Award and Jodie Chalk who received the Sports Person of the Year Award; acknowledges the runners-up from the constituency, which included Joanna Moodie for the Best Neighbour Award, the John Fergus School for the Best School Award, Trusted Breaks for the New Business Start Up Award, Kayla Bird in the Child of Achievement Award category, Glenrothes Foodbank in the Provost Award category and Wendy Macfarlane in the Sports Person of the Year Award category; thanks Kingdom FM for publicly recognising and celebrating the achievements of so many people from Fife, and wishes all winners, runners-up and those nominated for awards every success in the future.”
